Mom used to say to Lolly and me “Always make sure that whatever you choose to do in life, be passionate in what it is that you are doing and happiness will always fall at your feet! “

And she was right. Feeling most confident and comfortable in my roller skates I knew that my mission in life was to spread my love for roller skating through all that I do!

That is why I created Moxi. Moxi Roller Skates is a women’s brand dedicated to the art of rolling and looking good while doing it! We make revitalized classics for women on a roll!

Roller skating stopped my life at one screeching toe-stop and I’ve skated throughout it all. I started in my basement, peeling through the alleys, shakin my boo-tay at the roller rinks, tearing up the vert ramp as a teen and now roller derby as an adult. And throughout all the years, I wanted to make my dream skates.

Traditionally, roller skates are made in white or tan, for women; and black for men. But I wanted fashion on wheels by putting a colorful spin on a fun American pastime. Moxi Roller Skates is my small contribution to the revival of the simplest, most fun way to stay in shape. And now, they look wheely, wheely cute! Stake you destination, lace’em up and don’t forget your jams! Get ready and enjoy boundless hours of blissful freedom, outdoors on wheels!

Moxi Roller Skates is a brand of quad-roller skates and roller skating inspired streetwear, created by Los Angeles roller derby player, Estro Jen (derby name), Michelle Steilen.

Estro was a marketing professional, turned roller derby addict who was inspired to use what she knew to see to it that roller skating never went away again. After being disenchanted by the lack of maneuverability that popular skating sports like rollerblading had to offer, she latched onto roller derby and decided that the death to rollerblading needed to be pronounced, and the revival of the greatest fun on wheels, roller skating, needed to be born again and stay!

While roller derby captured all of the aggressive-typed women, Estro’s mission was to harness the acceptance of all women with a desire to be on wheels and look cute while exercising! And that is when MOXI ROLLER SKATES (the brand) WAS CREATED.
