Estro’s sister Lolly moves  along the Hana Hwy and takes Moxi on a tour of her new jungle environment. She is a caretaker to thousands of fruit trees in Kipahulu, HI where she eats her work and skates from place to place wherever she goes.

Dear Diary,

 It’s about 2:50pm June 21st  and I broke my collar bone doing hand stands on skateboards with some of my girl friends. Practicing, you know. There was probably some twerking and cartwheels going on too…. Everything was going great, my handstands were getting stronger, higher, and I was beginning to keep myself up for longer and longer. Just generally making my confidence well, a little too high. POP! SNAP! KAPLOWIE!

Dr. Amy came to the rescue, trying to calm me down. The girls threw me in Faye’s mini van of mayhem for a hood rich ambulance ride to Huntington Beach Hospital. Luckily Amy works there and was able to get me VIP hookup for being her friend and in no time at all found out that I have a broken collar bone, awesome! Doc says it was a clean break and I should heal fine. Here’s hoping I can stay off my skates long enough.

Alright guys I’ll check back in later, my mom is taking care of me in my current handicapped state and is trying to make me dress like a girl for my Dr. appointment.

Dear Diary,

Tuesday june 26^th a week to the day since I received a “non-displaced fracture to my right clavicle”

At this point I’m feeling very stuck, still in my home town with family and my primary care physician on the good old streets of Bakersfield. Done with Dr appointments for now, just waiting to find out how I will get back to where I belong. Current problems I am finding with being broken is making no money, having people help you get dressed, which is quite annoying considering I’ve been doing that for myself for a while, and disability being a pain in the….

Couldn’t stand seeing the inside of the house anymore…. Can’t wait to get back to LBC and my girls.

Things may get violent if I continue.

Solo out.

Dear Diary,

July 2^nd 2012

Spent today trying to get back into a more me routine back in Long Beach. Nice to be back despite the current funk I’m in, a day shy of two weeks off my skates and no guitar playing. Just spent some time at Moxi with the lovely Mimi Masher, which helped things a lot. Now I’m starting to see, I need to find a broken me (I can make a rhyme anytime.) I guess what I mean, is I need to find things I can be passionate about when I can’t skate or play my guitar. A place I can come to when I am hurt cause lets face it, I’m sure this isn’t the last time.

The term “Roll with the change” definitely applies to how I am now feeling.

During the evenings the girls attended the Skatepark Tour with the other aggressive roller skaters followed by parties each night.  Riedell hosted a massive Luau inside the Riviera. Other parties included the Pants Off Dance Off, the Black and Blue Ball and a skate down the Las Vegas Strip (not an official RollerCon event but freakin’ cool none the less!!)

If you have never attended a RollerCon, we suggest you sign up early for next year and don’t look back…. Las Vegas will never be the same.

Moxi Lolly & Ivy Skates show up in the Vogue.es article “Roller Girl”. Apparently skating is on a roll both near and far. Fun fact, the word for skating in spanish “patinaje”, pronounced PAH-TEE-NAH-HAY.  The article features everything from beatiful vintage photographs of Marilyn Manroe on wheels, to current celebs in stride, to references to Rollerball! Awesome article and glad we could be apart of it.

Hello Kitty Moxi Skate Prototype

Well I’m sure you’ve heard the buzz by now. Moxi has teamed up with Hello Kitty to create a Hello Kitty Moxi Skate! We know you’re excited and we are too!

The image to the left is a prototype for the final skate, but it’s not finished. The final skate will have different wheels and possibly another version of the current graphics, but you’ll just have to wait and see. So stay tuned!
